As of March 26, he had visited his own properties 21 out of 66 days, spending almost a third of his days as president at properties that bear his name.

And we taxpayers bear the cost.

Yes, George Bush (R) visited his ranch in Texas while he was president. A lot: 77 trips in eight years (490 days). That’s not quite once/month, 61 days/year. Total vacation days:  879.

And Barack Obama (D) visited Hawaii: eight trips in eight years. That’s once/year. Obama’s total vacation time was less than Bush’s trips to Texas: 28 vacations spanning all or part of 217 days.

According to The Washington Post:

No modern president took less vacation than Jimmy Carter (79 days), while Ronald Reagan spent 335 days at his beloved California ranch.
