If you want to see only status updates from your friends — no photo uploads, pages friended and the like — here’s what you need to do:
(1) Click the Friends link on the left side of the screen, which will expand the menu options. Click “status updates.”
(2) Now you’ll see only status updates. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to privilege this view. You must bookmark the page or make the two clicks each time you log in to Facebook.
