Comments on SR520 Draft EIS are due (postmarked) today. The Senate overwhelmingly passed a Class C resolution last Thursday, expressing concerns about the DEIS process in general and about the Pacific Interchange in particular. It resulted in a flurry of e-mail from a UW Law Professor.
The long and short of it is this: if you trust the WashDOT to fully mitigate a plan *after* it has been approved by the Governor, then you should have no heartburn with the DEIS.
If, on the other, you’re like me … and you believe that the DEIS should articulate the full extent (with estimated costs) of mitigation required under every scenario … then this DEIS could almost put you in cardiac arrest. (Yes, I changed metaphors!)
