Microsoft Facilitates Time-Shifting

Microsoft has announced “MSN Video Downloads,” a $20/year service that will allow subscribers to download selected TV shows from website links to portable devices. Although this is a form of time-shifting, as The Motley Fool notes, video requires more concentration than audio — questioning whether consumers will race to portable video like they have to the iPod.
